Continuous manual feeding of wood or biomass to boiler is essential. Moreover, electricity generated in these power plants cannot be fed into grid as steam engine are without governors. But, these steam power plants are highly suitable for agro processing activity by connecting steam engines directly to oil expeller, sugar cane crusher, rice huller, water pump for irrigation etc. Of course, electricity also can be generated and used to drive motors as a captive power plant. Frequency can vary a little bit which does not harm in normal working. But in a grid feeding, frequency variation is not allowed. So, it can work as independent power plant.
